   Just watched someone making food from a can pour everything from the can into the pot without draining the water off.....

   It was canned Chicken.

     @Djeep well, best case scenario is the canned food had flavor to begin with, and then yes, that flavor would be in the water. In any case, you still paid for the salt, might as well eat it.
