   It's already the "Roaring Twenties" of Late Capitalism. Can't we just have even a few nice things? Like an anti-Threads, anti-Meta, anticapitalist and antifascist Pixelfed instance? I'm not staying on Pixelfed.social after their cynical breaking of the FediPact because "I changed my mind." If there isn't an appropriate server emerging, I'll just have to subject you lovely Mastodon folks to my photos here instead. No, no nudes - stop asking. What's that? You'd never ask that? Fine. Maybe we sure can still have nice things!

     @MediaActivist I had a feeling pixelfed was working with meta a few months ago when meta wanted in on the Fedi. This confirms the suspicion isn't far-fetched. Meta needs your pictures, your faces for its surveillance capitalism, targeted <ads>.

     @MediaActivist i never really understood the point of pixelfed in the first place - like, as someone following from a non-pixelfed instance it's just someone posting a post with a media attachment, and everything just feels clunkier those few times i do navigate to someone's pixelfed than seeing similar pictures on someone's akkoma or mastodon account...

     fedipact admin is selective who gets on the list so i don't think that is a complete picture of who is comitted to blocking facebook, i would be shocked if the anarchist pixelfed would be on team threads
