All we have to do in the US is pay USD 0.59 per citizen per day.
While we sit in our warm, secure homes watching Netflix.
The next time you see a western politician complaining about OUR part of the job, tell them to wake the fuck up.

@randahl Turns out the cost is probably less than that, because much of that tax money gets routed back to weapons manufacturers in the original country. That flows into the GDP and improves salaries and stuff those manufacturers do. All of which are taxed. And they palm off used equipment or stuff already in inventory.

@obviousdwest @randahl Ukraine is scrapping obsolete equipment and doing EOD for USA. They should be paid for it, the “help Ukraine budget” should increase whenever they accept something the U.S. would only have to dismantle. Seriously.
Newer stuff can draw the money down, I guess.

@randahl Don't forget that 90% of the money paid goes to other Americans and Europeans, in the form of purchasing locally produced weapons and ammunition and defence systems. It's an economic stimulus package that supports local economies and effectively destroys one of the west's top adversaries -- at incalculable cost to Ukraine's citizens. We should be grateful and thankful for their fight, and steadfast in our support of them in recognition of their sacrifice.
