   Prepare for the wave of new arrivals from #Meta instances

   Last weekend, we saw again that waves of #TwitterMigration can cause quite a strain on instances, admins, mods, and current users.

   As #Meta's #Project92 (#Barcelona) goes live on July 6th, 2023 (I call this #MDay,) I have changed my settings for new followers on "request" only.

   As I have already blocked the 2.5k #Meta instances (1), I take this as an additional precaution for the time being.

     ...would-be followers for the same thing: have a relevant bio and/or #introduction and/or some meaningful posts.

     If you like to do the same thing, you need to go to Preferences > (Account) Profile > Appearance > then select > " Require follow requests."

     That said, I still welcome new #Fedizens. - Please use any instance of the #Fediverse and make a #FollowRequest after registering there

     Oh verdammt
     Ich dachte Meta oder threads wäre noch nicht federated
     Ich hatte vor nicht allzu langer Zeit mit jemand deswegen geschrieben, also ob threads schon federated ist...

     Oh mann, ok ich weiß ja wie das mit einer Instanz geht.
     Jetzt hab ich vorhin von dir gelesen, da sind mehr Meta Instanzen, was für ein Scheiß!!

     Ach mich kotzt das an.
     Meine Stimmung ist momentan nicht gut, ich vertrag das grad garnicht.

     Aber Histo was passiert wenn ich blocke und jemand teilt und teilt...kann jemand dann doch etwas von mir lesen?

     ich habe nicht auf Folge Anfrage, ich habe da echt super wenig, mir folgen nicht viele und wer liest das schon und interessiert sich
