   Indeed—I was answering the “people who need alts can locally IA-compute them so publishers don’t have to“ part only.

   As long as there is some human review for alt text relevance in-context, yeah, why not using that for a draft. I personally write alts faster by hand—it’s often quite short—, but, for everyone their tools!

   Prepare for the wave of new arrivals from #Meta instances

   Last weekend, we saw again that waves of #TwitterMigration can cause quite a strain on instances, admins, mods, and current users.

   As #Meta's #Project92 (#Barcelona) goes live on July 6th, 2023 (I call this #MDay,) I have changed my settings for new followers on "request" only.

   As I have already blocked the 2.5k #Meta instances (1), I take this as an additional precaution for the time being.

   I ask new...

   [02/XX] ...the part that could be art. However, merely intending a text as irony fails to do that. It doesn't present the meaning in a subtle way, because the subtlety is not in the work itself; rather, the artist hopes that it will come up in the viewer's minds only.

   As for the effectiveness, it seems that many of the public did not notice the irony and mistook the quotation from the regime for support — and they responded by painting over it with non-ironic condemnation of the regime...
