@coldacid @mushroom_soup @Humpleupagus That's funny because millenials say the same thing on why they're never taking a promotion. Can't buy a house but Gen X thinks I'm taking over their responsibilities? LOL.

Fire those fuckin boomers and give me their money if you want me to take over your current duties so you can move up. Unless you want to be doing big boom's job forever while they get all the money and you do all the work.

  There are a contingent of boomers that would like to pass down their wealth to X, but the tax code was written to make it very costly, because the government knows that wealth would be drained from the stock and bond markets and instead invested into homes (paid free and clear) and small businesses (that would then have no need to take on debt). That bad for the money lenders and traders. So they disincentivized it.

  Millenials are not in a position to take over the big institutions away from boomers and clean them out. Gen X is. They need their own Trump to go around firing all the people with fake jobs so there's money to spend on actually useful things again.

  It would need to be a late Gen Xer. A lot of the early Gen Xers can be a bit npc boneheaded. The late Gen Xers tend to be a bit more existential. They've stared into void. And that's part of the problem. They see power as being ultimately purposeless, ironic, or comedic.

  No no no, not forever. Boomers have huge health issues, they're already starting to die out.
  
  But because they refuse to retire by the time they are gone all of gen x will either be retired or drown out by younger generations. They will be the generation that upper management skipped.

  Sad reality is that it isn't entirely boomer greed and stubborness. Retirement is 65 in the companies many of my boomer age relatives work in, many of them in middle management are only now being ALLOWED to retire and receive full benefits.

  Ones in my company cash out in their 50s. Our retirement starts in late 60s at earliest and for most it is 70s and couple that with watching your supplemental retirements they talk you into investing in hemorrhage cash for years in a row while inflation is "well controlled" and I think most of us know we will work til we drop and then our shit will be confiscated to offset the cost of our "care" by niggers in a home

  I'm just saying. I have this feeling that gen x will put up with less of the shit we see happening to boomers in the homes. "You can't punish a dying man" comes to mind.
