That said its a full android 12 device and good for anything a regular android device is good for. The two main advantages (which arent limited to reading books):
1) works great when there is light around without any backlit. Using it in bright sunlight is a far superior expiernce than a traditional screen.
2) Significantly reduced battery usage

It is a regular tablet that is meant to excel for use out doors.
I got it largely because I like to do tablet stuff (and laptop stuff) in the woods or on a mountain peak or outside of a cafe... I enjoy th sun and wind, and if possible I like to work in it.
If you want to be able to work outside on beatufil days then a e=ink display is a must IMO as they are the only display that works int he sun.

Darth ŠČ! :t_blink: (darth@silversword.online)'s status on Sunday, 10-Dec-2023 18:59:40 JST Darth ŠČ! :t_blink: @freemo I have Kindle and I use it a lot so I am familiar with eInk screen benefits. The question was more directed into the attempt to persuade myself that I need a BOOX device. But I don't really think I do. :blobpeek:

Darth ŠČ! :t_blink: (darth@silversword.online)'s status on Sunday, 10-Dec-2023 19:02:59 JST Darth ŠČ! :t_blink: @freemo I have a laptop with a shit ton of nits that works well enough in the sunlight but battery life is abysmal (as in very bad) when I crank up the brightness to max.
