   I’m not exactly sure how they managed it but Apple have somehow disabled my backspace key in text fields when adding an event in the web version of Calendar on icloud.com using Firefox on Fedora Silverblue.

   Of course, I could just be typing it wrong…

   (Delete still works so I guess there’s still a workaround.)

     ‘If this only happens when using Firefox and not with Safari, reach out to Firefox help here as they would be better equipped to assist with their product.’

     Dear Apple, I’ve never, ever, in three decades of being on the web seen a site, any site, on any browser, where the backspace key doesn’t work.

     Test your bloody work on other browsers, not just Safari, ffs.

     @aral I've been astonishingly pleased since leaving mac two weeks ago for a self-built computer running arch linux.

     Having control over the software you're running eliminates problems like this where a corporation forces to use your computer that you paid for in their chosen way.

     @nm If Arch ever becomes too much of a hassle, do give Fedora Silverblue a try. Been on it for a few years now and love it.

     @nm The rpm-ostree upgrades have been just seamless. It’s nice to have a Linux machine you don’t have to walk over eggshells around :)

     @aral Yeah, totally. I'd have no qualms moving to Fedora. The rolling release thing is appealing until it isn't 😃.

     @aral I think I know someone working on Safari if you feel like it would help.

     Could reach out and point to it to see whether it can affect change (because advocate for accessibility, too IIRC).

     @aral lol, Sounds like its mostly one of the easiest issues to fix, writing the reply was probably more work. Unless it's a large non debuggable mess and it takes hours to pinpoint, but it shouldn't
