   @panoptykon I've developed an anxiety disorder just reading this! But wow, the anxiety. At least here there is no algorithm to exploit me :).

     “Lawnmower kills beautiful 27-year-old. The family finds her teeth”

     “Doctors sent him home. He was dead the next day”

     “Stuck in a moving walkway. The tourist’s leg had to be amputated”

     That was the diet Facebook served one of its users suffering from an anxiety disorder in the “suggested for you” feed. In less than two months, Joanna* (name changed) received over 1400 suggestions, which triggered her anxiety. On average 27 a day.
