@thomasfuchs I've long been of the opinion that social media that lumps everyone into one infinite feed is incompatible with how our brains evolved to socialise.
The old internet, the one with individual tribes in the form of forums and the like was much better suited to how humans work together because it was so fragmented and siloed akin to how we evolved to function as a group.

Anywhere there are people, people will do people things.
What this does is remove the megaphone from the hands of billionaires. That is not everything, but it is definitely something.
The fact many people still are stepping up to shout into the billionaires' megaphone is a thing that will take time, along with whatever else it takes.
This alone is definitely not sufficient, though, that's for sure.
