     We already have a simple rule in our household that saves arguments.
     When I cook, I wash up
     When my wife cooks, I wash up.

     @maisiesummers @acm_redfox @countcol cook cleans up is exactly my policy now — if I’m having a night off from cooking, I want it to be a complete night off, not having to clean up the truly phenomenal mess my partner manages to leave in his wake 😊

     When I was flatting at university, the rule was that whoever cooked also had to wash and dry the dishes.
     Naturally, we all became experts at one-pot cooking.
