It blows me away the people whining that the cyber truck isn't the price they expected it to be 5 years ago.
If you're go to a dealership near me you can't get *any* truck for $36,000, much less one made with cutting edge EV tech with a stainless steel body and frame. It's like people don't realize the past 5 years had consequences.

@sj_zero Agreed, I knew the Cybertruck price that they claimed years ago wasn't to be trusted. I've seen it for years, car manufacturers say their next gen car will be x price but it's almost always higher when released. I only consider price once the vehicle has actually hit the market.

@BlubberSockets @sj_zero Yeah I knew it wouldn't hold that price, but that doesn't mean I'm happy to see it double.

@sj_zero @BowsacNoodle Well if you look at the used market, in some cases it makes more sense to buy new. I bought my 2023 car for a few thousand more than what I would have paid for a used 2017 model, only difference is I had to wait about half a year for the new car to arrive at the dealership. It was the correct move in my situation.

For sure, but what sucks is it happened in the entire vehicle market.
Little lady wanted us to look at a minivan, and when I saw a new one is $70,000 -- Like... what?! Who is buying new vehicles at this point?
