   @tim have you seen the shelf life of the new lithium variants of AA/AAA/9v etc? I assume C have them too
   
   Suuuuper long shelf life, I swear I saw one that was 20 years

     Signs you don't use C batteries very much: you find a pack with guaranteed shelf life of 7 years, unopened, and the shelf life end date is in 2017.
