@clacke I live in a different part of the country, so until recently I had no idea canada exported so much of the world's lentils!
Canada: US$1.6 billion (47.2% of total lentils exports) Australia: $766.2 million (22%) Türkiye: $537.1 million (15.5%) United States: $162 million (4.7%) India: $68.8 million (2%) Kazakhstan: $58.1 million (1.7%) Russia: $55.1 million (1.6%) United Arab Emirates: $29.7 million (0.9%) Belgium: $22.5 million (0.6%) Netherlands: $17.6 million (0.5%) Myanmar: $10.3 million (0.3%) Egypt: $10.26 million (0.3%) Germany: $9.8 million (0.3%) Curaçao: $7.82 million (0.2%) Italy: $7.81 million (0.2%)
@gemlog I have Waitrose lentils here, don't know if they grow them in the UK or if they perhaps import them from Canada and pack them in the UK, and I have lentils clearly marked as being Kazakh.
@clacke There are other things not as good. For e.g. 4 largest suppliers of fossil fuels... But then blueberries :-) Not your swedish ones, but we do have those wild (I think they are the same ones).
