     atlantans resisting cop city is good and important but to describe them as climate refugees and to describe the cop response as genocide is deranged aggrandizing

     @emilygorcenski @irenes wow are you saying Americans can't understand having bombs dropped on them? havent you heard of the MOVE bombing of 1985 when they dropped a home made incendiary device on a house in Philadelphia? that killed 11 people, which is literally the exact same thing as what's happening in Gaza right now

     @emilygorcenski @beka_valentine this kind of flattening badness is so annoying, not just because it's self-centered and appropriative and an obstacle to any real solutions

     but because there's important things to say about these various bad things that are not genocide. there is substance that needs to be conveyed, and when the extreme responses, and discourse around them, become the conversation, the substantive discussion never happens. it's a DoS.
