     The Navy didn't create Facebook. Facebook went online just a day after LifeLog shut down: https://wikispooks.com/wiki/LifeLog
     
     ..and LifeLog was DARPA (which is directly under the DoD, not part of the Navy).
     
     Facebook is probably connected to (or created by) LifeLog/DARPA, but it also has private interests like Peter Thiel's investment.
