    All right Fediverse to your thing: who has good suggestions for low-power, lightweight arm laptops?

    I am currently on the Pinebook Pro but it's showing clear signs of wear and tear, plus there's the issue that it'll only really support Manjaro going forward (I want to run Ubuntu, armbian is OK) , and it's no longer available with my preferred keyboard layout.

    Pinebook would be a downgrade. MNT Reform is way too thick. Huawei Qingyun is hard to get.

    Any other ideas?

      @xahteiwi I realize this is over a year later...did you end up getting something new? What did you get?

      @roadriverrail I still haven't got anything new. 🙂

      But @ainmosni has a review of my current top contender:

        Here's my mini-review of my new @tuxedocomputers@linuxrocks.online #InfinityBook 14 Pro gen-8. The good: - The laptop feels solid and well made, very good build quality. - Thermals and performance are great, barely seeing the CPU temp hit 60C under a stress test. - Hardware video encoding works really well, even for video confs. - Great touchpad, maybe the nicest I've had on a non-mac laptop, and I'd say rivalling the mac ones. - Nice and crisp screen. - Just in general quite happy with it.

      @xahteiwi @ainmosni ah, so gave up on the ARM requirement

      @roadriverrail Are you aware of anything in the arm64 space that's actually better than the PBP?

      @xahteiwi I'm not...I was rather hoping to find that you'd found something to fit the bill so I could follow your example. 😅

      @xahteiwi I think my concern there was around Manjaro. I tend to stick with Ubuntu so I can throw Regolith on it.

      @roadriverrail I'm still happy to recommend the PBP if you want a low-power laptop and don't mind the US ANSI keyboard (they appear to not make the ISO keyboard layout anymore).
