   We're in that era again today. What marked the 60's and 70's? Social upheaval, mass migration of various races leading to racial strife, disaffected youth, open sexual degeneracy and drug use, lots of war, Middle East chaos, thaws and freezes with China, and technological advances that are simultaneously good and awful. Tons of violence and lots of suicides. Parents can't trust teachers anymore and the churches are bending over backward to suck up to the world. Believe me, our X-er and Boomer parents love Reagan because they see him as giving them a decade-long reprieve from the previous two decades...and they miss him because those two decades came back and stuck around. Might as well get a lava lamp and start playing Iron Butterfly, maaaaaan.
