   Am I alone here thinking we have been swindled by the soap makers? How is liquid soap better? You always get a better lather with a bar of soap. Liquid soap is convenient but so much worse

     @lienrag people don't buy bars of soap anymore, they buy "body wash" liquid soaps. It's accepted to be the best and everyone thinks it's modern and that bars of soap are somehow worse technology, but it's the opposite.

     @feld The lather yes, but the skin feels to much worse after liquid soap as well. It always feels like you haven't quite washed all of it off, no matter how hard you try.

     Really ?
     I've seen indeed some people do it (and it became common in public lavatories, which has some objective reasons to use them) but most of the places I go there are still soap bars.

     @Moon idk, commercially in the USA available -- probably Dove?
     
     I get bars of soap sometimes when I order from the local soap maker back in Madison. I really like their custom scented shaving soaps/creams, and I get their beard shampoo for my dog with a custom scent -- Lilacs -- so she smells like spring :3:
