   I've updated mastodon.social and mastodon.online to the latest code in the main branch. You can follow hashtags, translate posts, and the UI is the same for logged in and logged out users (though keep in mind the logged out version is not entirely complete).

     Any chance of translation and hashtag following being released to all servers soon? To get ahead of a possible new wave of members?

     Translation especially was the number one request last time.

     @ToadKing DeepL. The translation feature only shows up for public posts. Other backends are available for other admins, e.g. LibreTranslate.

     In the last wave, people kept asking where the translate button was, so clearly a lot of people expect it to be built in.

     @feditips I'd much rather if independent surfers/clients did Translation, or had plugins/extensions for that.

     Now hashtag following would be really nice.

     What translate API is used? I normally wait 'til I'm on mobile and use #Fedilab's #LibreTranslate feature.

     @Gargron When you have URLs, Hashtags, "Show Thread", etc. in a post, the "Translate" button can't distinguish itself from other hyperlinks. You might consider relocating the "Translate" button to somewhere else. It would improve the UX.
