Personally I just follow PeerTube accounts from Mastodon? Keeps it simple?
Another option is RSS, all PeerTube accounts and channels have RSS feeds.

@feditips piggybacking off this to ask folks how they keep up with creators on those sites? Go to each separately? Just go to one find folks you enjoy and follow on mastodon or something? Anyone know of a client?

There are PeerTube clients on F-Droid, for example:

@feditips Yeah I also just follow from Mastodon. It'd be nice to have a client. If I knew how to code I'd love to make a peertube & mastodon client. Sadly, I'm just a noob. :-) Maybe someday though.

There is a general search service for PeerTube called Sepia Search, but unfortunately it seems to not be moderated :(
If someone could do a moderated version of it, that would solve a lot of these issues as other PeerTube servers could embed that search on their own server.

@ozoned @feditips this gets to an idea that's highly needed if federated services are going to be useful. They must have discoverability. Without discovery there is zero chance of popular adoption.
This is the key feature YT and Steam and Twitch provide. Not the core services that most people think of them as. This is what is largely missing in the fediverse. It sort of happens on individual instance servers but I can't point Granny to one place to find all the stuff like I can with YouTube.

It could be one place: the search box.
Servers can choose where to get their search results from, so you could have lots of servers using a reliable search service (if it existed).

@feditips @ozoned as with most things in life it's about moderation. In the sense of being a balance. Federation is about no one point of control. And yet you need one place to find stuff for the normies to be able to use it. I would think the solution is a search, with controls (safesearch etc), that will let everything be searched and found. But combined with, as you say, a curated discovery platform to aid in surfacing good quality federated content. Quite the problem to solve.

To find RSS feeds on PeerTube, click on a channel's or account's "Subscribe" button and select the RSS option ?

@feditips I've poked around looking for the RSS option and did a little research inline to figure out how to locate the RSS for a feed. No luck figuring it out. Any suggestions?
