    @LauraleeDukeshire Where is the "I dont think these are valid terms" option?

      Thoughtfulness and reflection on if they are useful terms and why or why not.

      @freemo it came across to me as passive aggressive confrontation. Which did not inspire thoughtful reflection but rather fight/flight response. If you are looking for thoughtful discussion, politely presenting your opinion would have been a better starting place.

      I am sorry you took my intent as passive agressive, that was not the intent.

      What exactly in my response did you find impolite?

      @freemo I didn't say your response was impolite. I said it came across as confrontational.

      But what about my question came across co frontational? How do you feel it could have been phrased better?

      @freemo You presented a judgement about the terms used in my poll (implying the whole exercise was invalid) but didn't explain why you thought that way. You made an assertion without any explanation. It was like throwing a pie in someone's face as you walk by or "here have a grenade". It was a pronouncement in the form of a rhetorical question. It did not seem like an invitation to a discussion.

      Same, I am of the opinion that the terms are harmful in general for society.

      @freemo @LauraleeDukeshire I don't know whether this helps you, but psychometric tests show that I am not a normal thinker. But, in my depleted state, I present as above average. The system doesn't care whether I'm healthy and get my capacity back; it works only for me to be "normal" – thus they do hardly anything to help.

      Same in audiology when I lost an octave overnight. Still tested well above average so they sent me away.

      My experience is that "typical" vs "divergent" is harmful to me.

      @libroraptor

      All harm, the kind that Alistair describes above that caused harm to him is an example. Usually when we try to put people in boxes it tends to cause harm.
