i see so many people today fired from jobs and immediately looking to go wage slaving for some other corporation.
please consider alternatives. band together, build cooperatives. let's claw back some amount of control over our lives. i, for one, am sick of corporate feudal lords and am looking for accomplices for an escape.

@zeh @Brendanjones while I agree on principle, it’s easier said that done when you have mortgages / bills breathing down your neck (which I realize are a means of oppression meant to prevent exactly this sort of systemic change)…

@metacosm @zeh This is exactly why I’m big on implementing UBS/UBI - it’d allow more freedom to escape wage slavery.

@metacosm @zeh Yeah if I was a capitalist and believed in the merits of capitalism, I’d be fighting tooth and nail against such a programme that frees people from wage dependency. That said, pilot programmes seem to have been received favourably. Probably because on its own, UBI does nothing to address massive and rising wealth inequality.
