   If I setup my own cloud of movies and TV shows, and I have physical copies that I bought, and shared access, is it #piracy?

   * Those with access cannot download is. They can only stream. (Well, if they know how to bypass…)
   * Free access. Donation is welcome.

   Is it illegal?

   Consider this also, what difference does it make if I just lend the physical copy (which they can cope without my knowledge)?

     I don't think it's piracy at all..

     That would be like them saying that if you bought a copy of Avatar at Walmart, your not allowed to sit down and watch it with your family.
     Or your not allowed to lend cd's of music you purchased to a family member or friend.

     They make enough money already...

     @youronlyone It should be legal as long as you don't share it publicly or sell it. For example, it's legal to play movies and TV shows in a restaurant.

     @rom I see. So technically, people sharing their Netflix/Viu/etc accounts are pirating? I mean, if I understood it correctly.

     One copy = one account.

     Or, something?

     @youronlyone lending it means that only ONE copy is being passed around, which translates to only one copy is running at a single time. :)

     @rom I haven't looked at it that way. Makes sense then why OTT services are trying everything to stop account sharing of solo subscriptions.
