The video “here’s a quick and easy meal for days when you’re burned out…”
Me “go on, you’ve piqued my interest”
The video “first you peel and dice an onion…”
Me “well, I’m out.”

@BethanyBlack Still drives me nuts when you get "here's a simple recipe using only store cupboard ingredients" and then wants a selection of 14 fresh herbs, while I'm looking at a tin of spaghetti hoops, a jar of chocolate spread, and some Lea & Perrins.
@moogal haha
To people recommending bags of frozen onions in reply to this, I am so sorry that you took this silly joke incredibly seriously, and also that your belief in people is so low as to think that’s information that a stranger wouldn’t know.
@BethanyBlack I’m with you on this. I thought I’d save a couple of quid and simplify my cooking by dicing and freezing my own onions. Great idea. Half a dozen diced onions went in a bag in the freezer, and one solid, unusable lump of ice-encrusted onion came out. Complete waste of time. Turns out making your own frozen diced onions is more tricky than I’d thought; not recommended.
