Google Play will require new developers to test their app with at least 20 users for 2 weeks before even considering to give them access to production. That is pretty bad news for indie devs.

@ConnyDuck Am I reading this right that the actual criteria is that 20 people opt in to testing, but they don't actually have to install the app?

@ryanc Google definitely has the means to check if the app was actually installed, so they probably do

@ConnyDuck like, I know they can, but they don't say it's required - I think the policy is just about making it harder to get access to publish apps
