@petealexharris @RhinosWorryMe @pikesley @inthehands Voting can, and I'm happy overall with the results from Tuesday's elections. However, when you've got a party who has shown a willingness to change the rules whenever they lose, you've got to come up with something else.

I think it’s important to view all of these things as part of an ecosystem. Protests matter. Voting matters. Discussions on social media matter. Diplomacy and process wrangling matters. Direct action that disrupts power and process matters. Yet none of these things are sufficient by themselves. All necessary but not sufficient. We need them all, working together. -

Yeah. Protest isn't resistance. Unless protest credibly signals willingness to resist in a practical way (and voting does count as that), of course it will be ignored.
