   Fuck, you know it's possible the "rise" in trans people corresponds to "uncloseting", but it's also possible it corresponds to a drop in deaths. In which case you could calculate the implied trans death rate by subtracting current trans identity rate from previous rate and multiplying against the population. Another thing they'll never simulate.

     Apparently the rate of adult transgender identity has remained constant. I don't believe desistance is common so this would complicate things. At any rate I'm just going to assume that 0.6-0.7% of the population are murdered for being trans and that it mostly happens before adulthood.
