   @ranjit @christa @makingarecord I saw a "Carpe Diem" sweatshirt today on another mom at school drop-off and I wondered what an ancient Roman would think if they were transported forward in time 2,000 and saw that scene.

     @makingarecord I only think about the roman empire whenever someone circulates an article about how it was or wasn't gay

     I make a lot of broad statements about how often I think about specific things, which these days seems pretty connected to the Roman Empire discourse. Like, so many people insisted they don't think about the Roman Empire very often, but I think if they paid attention they'd find they are wrong.
