Time to pull out the oscilloscope and look at how clean that output is or isn’t.

rawe (stereo4x4@techhub.social)'s status on Monday, 06-Nov-2023 23:25:45 JST rawe @manawyrm @HopelessDemigod @ryanc once had to unplug the whole expensive electronics lab bench at work just because the power supply for the integrated LEDs produced radiated emmissions high enough to make all sensitive measurements impossible.
I don't want to find out in which ways a cheap crappy power supply that runs 24/7 in a wall without ventilation can fail.

Tenar Arha, 🌻 (new instance) (datenar@mastodon.coffee)'s status on Tuesday, 07-Nov-2023 01:17:11 JST Tenar Arha, 🌻 (new instance) @ryanc Would have said same, it’s not just that they wear out, the standards change over a much shorter time span than electric outlets. They maybe last 10-15 years before a new standard is required. Better to ask for wide spaced electric outlets with room for wall warts.
