   hmm weather looks clear and bright, I badly need some exercise so I should probably go out and do a nice long walk.

   on the other hand, I do have strong feelings of cannot-be-arsed.

     Trouble is a decent walk is 4-5 hours for me, and of course the effing clocks have gone back which means getting out of the door by midday at the latest as sunset is 16:37 today down here.

     fuck it. Tuesday is forecast for similar weather so I'll go then.

     I dislike walking in rain (unless it's the odd passing shower) but I can easily imagine running in it being ok.

     I hear you, for me it's people avoidance, today the sun is shining which means every part-time moorland walker (and particularly those walking attitudes with their badly-behaved dogs) will be out - let them have it - I really can't be arsed!

     I'll go out running when it's raining, cold and wet and mostly enjoy the entire moorland to myself, just with the occasional other lunatic running around - which is always pleasant and congenial!
