   For example, In 2018, Messianic Jewish Alliance of America & congressional GOP pushed legislation to "redirect U.S. funds [to UN] for Palestinian humanitarian assistance into a voucher program administered by the Israeli govt" to "relocate" Palestinians

     In 2019 Neyanyahu said 'from the river to the sea' & that was a clear announcement to an end to a two state solution & a call to a genocide.

     As key neocons in the GOP pushed for increasing authoritarianism/anti-civil liberties, their strategists continued to press racist Southern Strategies of dividing core Democratic voting groups - including Jewish Americans. "So as the Republican Party became more conservative during the Bush & Obama years, it also became more pro-Israel. These two factors — the rise of the religious right & the pro-Israel takeover of the conservative movement — fed on each other."

     A concerted pro-authoritarian effort between right-wing GOP in US & right-wingers inIsrael, including Netanyahu & GWB, pushed both countries toward fascism & erosion of civil liberties: a goal furthered by 9/11 itself.

At the time, Israel was in the midst of the second intifada, a war with the Palestinians in which a massive wave of suicide bombings killed many Israeli civilians...The approval [of right-wing Israeli response] "was reflected in the large rise in the number of Republicans sympathizing with Israel over the Palestinians: from 60 percent in 2000 to 85 percent in 2010."

     These goals of rebuilding the Third Temple, breeding the red heifer, & bringing on the apocalypse is not about love of actual Jewish people, but evangelicals' unhealthy obsession w/bringing on the Second Coming.

     The US right wing (evangelicals, the GOP, Bush, Trump) & the Israeli right wing (Likud, Netanyahu) walk hand in hand & do not care about their citizens.

     And it's always the right wing sabotaging peace negotiations - you would think Americans would notice & draw the conclusion that Likud & the GOP believe firmly that they benefit jointly from war.

     @chargrille I remember when this started. My shul did a retreat to Israel when it looked like both sides were making some progress. Then a couple weeks after we went back home Ariel Sharon, that fucker, went up on the Temple Mount even though he knew it would derail everything, and the Second Intifada kicked off.

     I keep beating this drum: we need to view right-wing nationalist factions — Hamas, Likud, Republicans — as being allies in this moment, even though their ultimate goal is the genocide of the others, because in order to get to the genocide they want, first they need an all-consuming conflict that admits no conceivable resolution except genocide. Their greatest enemy, even greater than each other, is the peacemakers.

     @inthehands @MisuseCase @chargrille I watched the frontline documentary on the peace process and how it was derailed by Ariel Sharon and Benjamin Netanyahu is starkly visible, after all that Madeline Albright still had the temerity to blame Arafat for the collapse of the peace process.
