I think of #ActivityPub as #RSS with comments and simplified sharing. The focus being helping people consume more creators' work quickly, not the conversations we have here. Spreading and curating what's done elsewhere. Comments just let us help each other figure out how to do that best.

I want reader & media player apps that we can connect to our decentralized social graph. when reading an article or listening to a podcast, the same app should let me comment on or boost that article/episode, not a post that links to it. same with the way services like #Lemmy handle content and conversations. all this stuff should be integrated. #RSS people sound like they wish everybody still hand coded HTML.

Even better if we just post on our own blogs and social media is pure RSS feeds.
