@locagainstwall @ChristiJunior I can't blame you from having a physical reaction to gacha terms. The system as originally designed is just gambling with a new name attached to it, meant to extract money from people.
Tuned well though it injects that ever so slight amount of rogue-like esc randomness into an otherwise normal game.

@locagainstwall @supersid333 It's all based on in-game resources, it's not pay-to-win. The idea was to give different players different experiences based on which Rare Blades they ended up getting - but you can still set up perfectly viable parties just with Story Blades and Sidequest Blades alone.

@supersid333 From what I recall she was added through a free update, but you needed to have beaten the game to have a chance to get her. At least her pull rate was really high, she was waaaaaaaay easier to get than KOS-MOS.

Was talking Xenoblade with a friend and I remembered the game added Megane T-elos as a blade.
