     regression toward the mean suggests it's more likely they are not super smart.
     
     like Goethe who appears as most intelligent person in some IQ listings (with 160, 220-230 or similarly imaginary numbers) had a son of medium intelligence and no talents.
     
     there are opposite examples like JS Bach's family, but musical talent is easier to inherit than 160 IQ.
