@tattie @lisamelton @Terra It's not a stupid question. There are a number of valences...think of a parliament with a coalition in the majority and minority. The "no HRT" coalition is in majority by a somewhat slight amount, and the strongest point they make is "No part of us, pro or anti HRT, wants breasts." And that's very true. There are other concerns related to my fitness, to the strain I'll place on my partners, etc. 1/2

But my body as it is is already sufficient, and I'm sure after I'm farther along in hair removal, I'll find the "pro HRT" camp feels a little less strident. 2/2

Kit Rhett Aultman (roadriverrail@signs.codes)'s status on Tuesday, 31-Oct-2023 05:17:58 JST Kit Rhett Aultman @Terra @tattie @lisamelton That's amusing to me because you're constantly posting about your boobs not being big enough. I'm serious when I say that my breasts are already as big as I want them to be.

Kit Rhett Aultman (roadriverrail@signs.codes)'s status on Tuesday, 31-Oct-2023 05:31:19 JST Kit Rhett Aultman @Terra @tattie @lisamelton I kinda figured that's what the story was. I tell people all the time that the act of being in transition alone will change your sense of desires/goals, and of course changing body chemistry will amplify that, too.
For me, though, I've had 20 years of thinking about it, and given the choice between two mixed bags, this is the right one for me. There's no "need"; just a lot of "wouldn't it be nice".

Terra: Chaos Lesbian (terra@chaosfem.tw)'s status on Tuesday, 31-Oct-2023 05:31:20 JST Terra: Chaos Lesbian @roadriverrail Hips: That they don't grow the way my boobs seem to. I just want hips (and my ass) to pop out, but I'll probably never have them.
I didn't want boob changes at all and researched binders, hiding clothing, and actually filled out insurance pre-authorization for mastectomy just in case they started growing. 100% against having boobs. Actually put off starting HRT for a bit because of that. But the mental changes were so necessary I finally started.
Then at about 3-4 months, something shifted in my brain and I was like "Oh these started growing, and I never ever want them to stop. In fact, I want them to be enormous." Not sure if the E removed a block or actually changed my relationship with my body, but yeah, total shift.

I answered, "Boobs."
You know, just in case you were wondering about my priorities. 🤣

The other thing is that I...think I might have some already? I had some breast tissue activation in puberty, like with pain and swolen glands and stuff. My pads mostly round out what I already have.

Michaela Sue (beige_alert@universeodon.com)'s status on Tuesday, 31-Oct-2023 06:08:59 JST Michaela Sue @roadriverrail @lisamelton @Terra @tattie I spent years amongst the tumblr enbies and it often felt like they only thing anyone else wanted to talk about was binders. I, assigned male, wanted breasts... When I found trans women (on twitter) they seemed to mostly talk about growing breasts on HRT, so at least that's a consistent focus of attention from *everyone!*
But yeah my doctor asked what I hoped for from HRT and my first two things were saying I wanted to find out what sort of mental/emotional effects I'd get, and then pointing to my chest (enhanced by padding in my bra) and saying it would be cool if these were real 🤣
