   I have a hole and backbox in my living room wall where the builders intended to install TV aerial coax (what is this, the 90s?) but instead just left a short bit of pull-cord.

   A normal person would add a wall plate. I am extremely tempted to turn this into a 12V + data feed for running external addressable lighting.
