   I have been asked to work on building and training LLMs as part of a work project

   The most computationally intensive thing I do in a week: attend a meeting and open the collaboration tools

     The LLM project is "People with C in their title want an LLM, so we're gonna make an LLM."

     Every time we get to the point that we have a plan the C level goes "That's a dumb plan"

     @flyingsquirrel I feel like Disillusionment is already about 50% there, it's gonna crash soon. But as far as I can tell, our plan is to go as hard as we can so that we've got half the company committed right as it becomes worthless

     @silverwizard With any luck, the project will keep going like that until the hype curve hits the Trough of Disillusionment, and it can be safely cancelled without doing too much damage.
