     @eris@akko.disqordia.space There was some guy who put a textured white orb in a black room and took a picture with his Samsung phone and it spit out a detailed moon shot. Samsung says they basically use an AI trained on countless examples of the moon to "fill in details" and stuff. Not knocking you, it's just mad difficult to resolve a moon physically with smart-phone optics (glass+sensors). A lot of phone manufacturers are leaning heavily into "computational photography" these days to bridge the gap, be it with moon shots or really anything else where they're stressing physical limitations of the hardware. Kinda a "black box" magic thing where the computers are generating images they think the users want, not necessarily what is actually there.

     Okay I guess what I saw before was fake
     Looked at debunks and it seems like they detect features it can see then adds features from pictures in its database

     @eris I'll be honest, I don't really care the images may be manipulated, they look awesome. That's why I take pictures of things.
     
     Now they need to improve it so my pictures of rabbits and foxes I take at work look that good lol
