   Just updated Monocles Chat. Any idea what the odd pixel art icon on the left next to the smiley emoji icon is for? Couldn't find any information on this.
   
   Looks like you can change the art by touching on it or long press to clear it.

     It's supposed to be a thread indicator. It should be consistent across replies. At least that's what I understand, I'm new to monocles too.

     @mux2000 yeah XMPP has MUCs but I'm not participating in any.
     
     I've had parallel conversions on XMPP including monocles using the Quote reply so this marker seems superfluous, dunno.

     Monocles has group chats too, but I can see why thread indicator will be useful one on one. I've often had parallel conversations with the same person in the same chat.
