     Seriously no, not listening to that. dependency problems are a problem of the developer. This is not a inevitable situation. When using apis simple enough so the distro packages can be used, there is no problem. If not available in distro, bundle as source form. The dependency problem was invented by nodejs and is not a fatality.

     @f4grx Coming from a person who avoids Docker as much as possible, shared systems (like many raspi's seem to be) are where I use docker the most!
     I (almost) exclusively run workloads inside VMs, so I can dedicate a single VM/OS to one app.

     But I have gotten myself in miserable dependency hell when running multiple disparate services on a single OS, so when I can't deploy VMs (like a Pi) I end up on Docker. 🤷🏼♂️

     Unless you have dedicated Pi's? 😂

     @dansup @pixelfed please tell me I can put one on my raspi without docker or other alien modern deployment system.
