     @LadyMont I cannot even conceive of having the level of trust required to have a male doctor. I'm not blaming this poor young woman. And IUDs can be a nightmare all on their own--I can still viscerally remember that pain. It's overwhelming sometimes when I think about what women go through. I've only had a fraction of the experiences and it's enough.

     @Gelatinousrube @LadyMont I had bad experiences with a female doctor inserting an IUD, I can't imagine letting a male doctor do that.
     
     In general my male doctors have been lovely lately but I'd still prefer certain procedures to be done by females only
