@Griffith if i had to guess, it's because you talk about boring things like politics

@Griffith send graf and others daniel stevens :danielstevens: enough times and it won't exist
and maybe if you didn't treat everyone being direct as niggas coming out to say something negative you'd get along with more people and get more engagement, but that's not really a concern of mine

@Big_Richard also true, but my anime girls get traction. I’d just like my non-anime girl posts to get traction.

@Griffith @Big_Richard High quality effortposts and analysis almost always does worse than throwaway meme posts and random anime girls, it's a Fedi thing.

@Griffith
You need to add more anime girls to your posts

Yeah I drop my effort posts just for my own autism's sake.

@Griffith @Big_Richard Lowest common denominator man. People like looking at cute shit when on any sort of social media, they don't want to think

Putting a random anime gorl or barely related eyecatching picture can help but the only stuff I post that gets traction is shit or political stuff

The amount of times I am on the same wavelength as someone else's effortpost and not, usually at best, using his effortpost to springboard into something else only slightly related I am thinking about I can count on one hand, and given my autism that probably means even fewer people out there be expected to keep up with my own or even be slightly interested in them. I dunno I just assume it's universal at this point

@ChristiJunior @DrRyanSkelton @Big_Richard The problem is, the reason one writes stuff on the internet, and doesn’t just keep a journal, is they want other people to pitch in.
The reason we, or at least I, post effortposts is because I want people to read them, think about them, and ideally add on to them. Especially if it’s a new or controversial idea. It’s interesting to hear what other people think.

@DrRyanSkelton @Griffith @Big_Richard I still do them, but I've stopped expecting much interactions, I do them for my own sake, because I like writing and properly articulating various thoughts and ideas circling in my mind, but if those posts actually gain traction that's a pure bonus.
