     @sharutiaburaddofouren yeah that stuff with the Peach box art really does feel like they wanna push the girl boss angle there. I can feel the games shifting in direction too, this Mario Wonder one, it almost felt like a return to form of 2D platformers but the live commentary felt very un-Mario. Thankfully you can turn it off.

     @SNEK yeah he is, like I said charles martinet retired early because the gay movie but it wasn't just him, the entire cast basically is gone now and he is the only person with name recognition so nintendo had to announce his retirement but everybody else you just find out through a twitter or linked in post. They're trying to pretend this is organic rather than the company becoming gay and putting in lisping queers from reddit and translators who want mario to say "trans rights" at the end of every level
     
     It's not just that though, you can see how the games are being made worse and things are being injected that don't belong in the games. Mark my words, every nintendo property will become unrecognizable in short fashion. Zelda has already started this trend by becoming banjo kazooie nuts n bolts with laser rifles. The peach box art thing has already caused controversy and of course the only people claiming all of nintendo's behavior as of late as a good thing you know exactly what the twitter profiles look like

     Yes the industry is pretty much compromised at this point
     The Mario example is weirder still bc the VA is still alive and I'm certain he can still do the voice

     @sharutiaburaddofouren @SNEK I've a feeling Wonder is going to be a swan song of sorts for Nintendo before they enter a death spiral of poz and stifled creativity, assuming it doesn't suck. The aesthetic direction of Mario will regress to a combination of AI Pixar pornography and NSMB.
