   USB-C is one confusing standard of connectors even after all these years of becoming the norm mostly due to so many different variations.

     @joeo10 It’s one big fustercluck I’d like to see get regulated, to be honest. Anything goes in that darn connector, and not in a good way. If we nerds have a hard time with getting the proper cable for a specific job and a specific cable, just imagine all the non-technical people out there.

     @Streakmachine @briansullivan Indeed, there's a lot of USB-C types (PC, Thunderbolt, FC, etc) and the chances of picking the wrong type are high especially if it's for a non-tech person and there's lots of articles written about it.
