USB-C is one confusing standard of connectors even after all these years of becoming the norm mostly due to so many different variations.

Anything goes in that darn connector, and not in a good way. If we nerds have a hard time with getting the proper cable for a specific job and a specific cable, just imagine all the non-technical people out there.
