   OTOH, I suppose if people hadn't spoken up, in social media and afk, odds are that a genocide would have gone through without a second thought. it's not like the risk of that is over, but clear opposition has been voiced

     @mattblaze One of the worst things social media has done to our brains (and I’m not sure this site is any better in this respect) is to convince so many of us that we need to express our thoughts on so many things. I’m not sure how you design against that, though.

     I feel like I completely lack the knowledge, insight, and wisdom to contribute anything to the horrifying situation in Israel/Gaza. Anything I could say would ultimately convey only my despair, and that’s just not helpful.
