@tess For those playing catch-up... when a venture capitalist says it (whatever "it" is) is good for us and regulating it is bad for us, the ONLY "us" involved is the super wealthy. For the rest of us, normal folk us, it's likely to be as good for us as a heaping serving of polonium pudding.

@tess I'm "social responsibility" with an "existential risk" chaser.
@jrconlin @tess yeah, "risk management" and "trust and safety" are the items on that list that really give the game away: "we just want to move fast and break things and not listen to you naysayers bringing up good points like 'the law' and 'mathematics'"
Call me old-fashioned and a bad person, but I keep thinking that "letting your shit catch on fire or get stolen" is a bad thing, so mark me down as "risk management".
(ed. - removed a naughty "not")
I suppose I would count under "shareholder capitalism", even though I much prefer workers' ownership or public utility....or does that put me in the hidden "Communist" category?
@tess It's so bizarre. I'm an engineer who partners with our Trust and Safety team and a huge part of our job is keeping bad actors from defrauding our customers. In what world is that a bad thing??
@tess I'm "Sustainable Development Goals"
@josh @ToddWalker friends, John Galt gets a shout out.
@ToddWalker bless.
@tess @ToddWalker how much peyote did this guy appropriate? Jesus this is incoherent.
@josh reminds me of my 14-year-old self, drunk on The Fountainhead.
