Lina Inver?e (lina@eientei.org)'s status on Monday, 16-Oct-2023 08:55:21 JST Lina Inver?e @cassidyclown @Inginsub who knows? i know pears are quite common in russia, we even have a soda made out of pears, so it's probably eastern in origin -

Lina Inver?e (lina@eientei.org)'s status on Monday, 16-Oct-2023 08:56:27 JST Lina Inver?e @cassidyclown @Inginsub this russian cooking site i found is saying that in the 18th century europeans were making pear jam
so i guess it could be either eastern or western europeans, or it was both because pears are nice -

My grocer has frozen pierogi. I very much doubt they are up to your standards, however.

those are definitely classic vareniki though, mashed potato filling is yummy, even if i will always prefer pelmeni because they're stuffed with meat instead of vegetables or anything sweet -

i think it'd be yummy, the french seem to cut croissants and stuff them with sausages and other stuff, not unlike a sandwich -
