   I came across this Onyx Path thing before. I guess its a Magic alternative? I never played Magic and I know nothing about these things.

     Onyx Path is a TTRPG company. It’s kind of down the rabbit hole a bit. It has, among other things, Mage: the Awakening, a TTRPG (tabletop roleplaying game), which is a different product entirely from Magic, which is a TCG (trading-card game).

     These distinctions probably don’t mean a damn thing to you, and if you feel that way I don’t blame you. It’s all geek shit, if you want the short version, and it’s been taken over by he/she retards who want to force their ideology onto you, as opposed to the past, where it was controlled by 420blazeit metalheads who wanted to make an entertaining product.

     You might find both of these categories sinful and flawed, but let me tell you, one is way worse than the other.

     I posted this because, like a lot of our guys, I was super into this shit in my youth. Deeply entrenched in these cultures. So I still see how they continue to enshittify them, if you catch my drift.

     I played all of them extensively. oWoD mechanics were retarded but people worked around them for the setting. nWoD mechanics were less retarded (still flawed) but the setting was basically nonexistent. They were trying to do this Build Your Own Setting thing, this “toolkit” idea, and it was actually pretty cool if you’re actually playing the game. This is because you ended up creating your own NPCs and histories and so on. However, if you’re one of those people who likes to just read the setting exposition from the books, it was absolutely dogshit. It was trash.

     i can't comment on the mechanics because i never actually got to play any of them, but the owod setting is just so much more coherent and logical than nwod
