     I use nomacs because there's an equivalent on windows for my users, that way the day I can migrate them they have the same software.

     Arch is truly worst distribution. Have you tried Parabolla or hyperboola via a qemu/kvm vm ?

     imv — but it has even less GUI than feh, feh at least had some sort of menu, this one can only show some text on top of your image.
     Unlike feh, this one has fully-customizeable keyboard shortcuts — you can just bind whatever key you want to do whatever you like, I've bound Ctrl + Shift + J for example to convert current image to JPEG and to copy this new (or existing if it had already existed) to system clipboard — useful if you want to share funny pictures found on Fedi with others, but the ones who has posted the original image was lazy and posted it as PNG.
     And I've even patched mine to close when I click the middle mouse button to make it fully mouse operable.
     Lack of GUI is not a problem once your figure out your own workflows and make shortcuts for them. I do use external tools like ffmpeg and ImageMagick to scale images down and such though — maybe it's not your cup of tea and you do prefer to have a GUI for those :marseyshrug:
